The school, one of the largest Colleges in Cape Town, is located in Cape Town City Centre. The school aims to produce graduates who can communicate effectively in academic, social and business settings. They offer many varied language course options and services and can also tailor these to meet each student’s needs and requirements. The school offers free internet access for all students and provides comprehensive support and assistance with accommodation
and travel planning! They are committed to being the best language college in Africa and are proud of the high standards of quality and the service they offer to students. At the school the students experience diverse cultures, friendly people and affordable, quality education. Each week, they organize evening activities that include social, cultural and informative outings and on weekends, tours around Cape Town and outdoor activities are planned. These include weekends away, hiking, cycling, camping and river rafting and all students are welcome to attend. The school welcomes the students at Cape Town International Airport and also gives them advice on which airlines fly directly to Cape Town. For local travel, the college is within easy walking distances of many travel agencies, so planning a holiday within South Africa is easy. Suitable accommodation is arranged at reasonable prices from hotels and lodges to backpackers and home stay accommodation.
Internship |Volunteering
As an intern working with the school, you will be involved in either Event Organising, Educational activities or Marketing and various marketing related procedures. Moreover, you will also be required to assist the school in PR activities aimed at promoting the school and looking after the students. You will also assist in working out activities for students, marketing these activities to the students, booking them and accompanying them on the outings. lcomed as part of the team and will assist you in anyway they can to ensure that you get the most out of your internship.

The High School has a fantastic location beneath Lion’s Head on the Atlantic Seaboard. The school started as Sea Point Boys High in 1884. In 1989 it amalgamated with Ellerslie Girls’ school to form the current co-ed institution. They have a long tradition and this steadfastness is evident in all aspects of life at their school. Sea Point High is an innovative and vibrant school which recognizes and embraces cultural diversity. They provide a challenging and holistic learning environment. Their enthusiastic and caring educators maximize the learners’ potential to become respectful, tolerant and responsible citizens, using an educational partnership involving learners, parents and educators They are one of the few schools privileged to offer qualified Art and Design teachers in fully equipped art and design studios. Developing creativity in young people is an essential part of the learning process. Workshops and excursions highlight the essence of art and design within a working environment. The high school strives to provide an excellent
standard of education. Each year a theme is chosen to underpin the importance of academics in the development of young people. The dedicated staff is at the forefront of making this a reality, supported by a three way partnership with the learner and the parents / guardians. Teaching Internship
As an intern working with the High School, you will be actively welcomed as part of the school team and well integrated as a member of staff. According to your teaching subjects, you will be assigned to classrooms for both initial observation of the teaching methods and given the opportunity to find your feet, and then you will have the chance to put into practise your knowledge. You will also act as a fully
functioning part of the school and take part in all sport, cultural and daily school affairs. The staff at the school will be on hand for you to ask any questions and to guide you through your internship, as they have also had past experience with training students. They look forward to welcoming you as part of their team and learning about your international perspectives.
