For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge.  Magister assists in Volunteer work engagement in Cape Town, Somerset or Stellenbosch and helps in project like Animals rescue, Nature observation, Children programs, Youth development, Wild life and nature, Community development, Anti aids campaigns and many more. 

Get hands-on experience working with endangered African penguins and other seabirds at the world renowned SANCCOB seabird centres in Cape Town or Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

  • You must be 18 years and over
  • No experience necessary
  • Minimum 6 weeks in Cape Town and minimum 4 weeks in Port Elizabeth
  • Placements all year round, with the busiest time in Cape Town from November to January for chick season.

As an international volunteer you will become an extension of our team of Bird rehabilitators, helping with most handling and feeding tasks.
