Duties 
Interns with a chemistry background or studies will work in the Product Support Services department in the Test Laboratory, this is a South African National Accreditation System accredited Testing laboratory Interns will first receive training in Chemical and Physical Analysis in order to understand all the relevant chemical processes and be able to perform them effectively. Tasks might include the following: -Determination of total particulate matter -Determination of nicotine in smoke condensate – Gas chromatography -Determination of water in smoke condensate – Gas chromatography -Determination of carbon monoxide in the vapor phase of cigarette smoke -The measurement of weight, circumference, pressure drop and ventilation of cigarette using Filtrona Quality Test Modules (QTM)
