This Chamber with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town is the official authorized representative of German industry and trade in Southern Africa. Their primary goal is to offer the best service for building bilateral business relationships between Southern Africa and Germany. For more than fifty years, the Chamber has been facilitating the establishment of business links between South Africa and Germany by supplying information on the economic situation in both countries, bringing together potential trade partners, and offering a wide range of other services. Since 1997, they have extended their activities to the neighboring countries in the SADC region as well, namely Angola, Botswana, Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. With 24 experts, their field of expertise covers all aspects of trade and investment between Southern Africa and Germany, e.g. The Chamber is closely linked to the strong network of 83 Chambers of Commerce in Germany; which provides access to about 3 million companies.

To conduct marketing activities and marketing research, write reports on the research conducted and create a variety of applications for business assistance. You will also be required to compose and produce a variety of business correspondence and reports and assist with preparation for and staffing of events. Moreover, you will also assist in updating business fact sheets which will include translation from (English into German). Lastly, you will need to undertake procedures and review processes to determine actions required to resolve issues and identify additional or revised requirements.
This internship will provide you with excellent international experience and give you great exposure to the field of international trade and business relationships and the working of international networks, whilst working alongside a dynamic and experienced team.
