Work description
Architecture interns will receive world class exposure in their field and will assist with all aspects relating to the running of the design-build studio: design work, client liaison, working drawings, site visits, compiling of material for research and fundraising purposes, costings, and even on site building work together with CPUT’s Architecture students. Where possible each intern will be involved in student work which is relevant to the projects that they are working on. As the design-build studio is part of the department of architecture, many of the projects they have an academic component where they involve their own students. Interns will also assist with project planning for the next year, so will receive exposure to a range of proposed projects. As the studio also tries to have an intern from their own school assisting them, international interns will be able to draw on their experience in the office as well.
